Brad Freeman wins at the Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship

Brad Freeman claimed victory in the Junior Final category at this year’s Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship, which took place on his home turf. The British born rider was helped to victory by Bickers’ brands, Maxxis, Motorex and CZ, which sponsored him at the event.

As the sole distributor of Motorex in the UK, and the distribution partner of CZ and Maxxis, Bickers works with top-quality brands that have been chosen by champions like Beta Boano team racer Brad, and supplying quality brands like these to dealers up and down the country for over 40 years. Brad made use of his Maxxis MaxxCross SI tyres, Motorex’s Cross Power 2T racing gear oil and off-road chain lube, as well as CZ’s 520ORMX gold chain to enhance his performance and claim his crown.

Showing his resilience, Brad bounced back from an injury earlier in the year to win the event. Commenting on the experience, he said: “Coming into this event, I was really hoping that I could get a good result for the team at my home GP, after missing the opening round in Finland due to injury. I had a double win in Spain and Hungary, with other consistent points scoring rounds at all other events. So, with the stage being set and the late summer weather here at home being kind to us, we were ready to go. This event was a different kind of event, compared to most of the other WEC races to date, but we all knew that with Paul Edmondson’s wealth of experience, he would create a great circuit for us.

“Both days of racing went really well. With the special tests in the morning on Saturday and the switch to the other course in the afternoon, nothing could have gone any better. Heading into Sunday’s race, the prospect of a gruelling three-hour race around this very testing circuit was a daunting one for us and many other teams in the paddock. The team worked well and the bike was prepared to perfection, as usual.

“I am happy to report that the Motorex cross power 2T kept the bike running crisp and smoothly all day. We also knew that this circuit with its deep sand, would be heavy on the clutch, however once again the Motorex Racing Gear Oil made all the gear changes precise and smooth until the end. It was also great that the CZ 520ORMX chain, prepped with the Motorex Off Road Chain lube, kept me driving forward throughout the tough two days’ racing. Finally, and well worth the mention, the tyres have been great all season, however today they really have been fantastic. It’s great to see that after putting so much effort into the sport in Enduro GP and Super Enduro, that series sponsor Maxxis now have serious hardware that is being developed and tested at the highest level.

“I now head to the final round in Germany with only four points from the lead in the series after missing the first round, we will be going for it! Thanks to all our sponsors and supporters.”

Bickers’ managing director, Derek McMartin, added: “EnduroGP is one of the biggest motorcycling events in the world, and we are excited about the unrivalled exposure that our brands have received from the competition. We pride ourselves on the relationships that we have with some of the best motorcycle parts and accessories producers around the world, which allows us to offer our dealers such a variety of good, better, best and premium products, with profitable margins.”
