Ben Watson steals early victory racing with Motorex
Ben Watson, rider 919 for the Hitachi KTM UK motocross team, has claimed an early victory at this year’s MX2 Championships. The 20-year-old from Nottingham ended July on a high, having stolen the show at the penultimate round of the competition; forging enough of a lead to ensure that no other competitor can catch up.
Ben, who has been competing for 7 years, took on the gruelling challenge at the popular sand circuit of Preston Docks on 30 July. The competition marked the 7th round of the championships, with the final event scheduled to take place in Swindon later this month.
Notorious for its ski jumps, table tops and drop offs, it was essential that Ben had all the right components in place to ensure a smooth race on the Preston circuit. Guaranteeing just that, Watson approached the competition using Motorex products. Market leaders in its industry for 100 years, Motorex’s extensive oil offering has experienced some of the most thorough research and development, to ensure absolute quality and performance.
Commenting on Ben’s success, Bickers’ managing director, Derek McMartin, said: “This is a fantastic result for Ben, and for Motorex. The brand offers premium quality to riders, and top riders like Ben can vouch for that, they select Motorex again and again because of its quality and proven results. It’s really great to see the outstanding results that riders can achieve using products we bring to market, we are really proud to be its sole distributor in the UK.â€
